SPIRITUALITY ON SCREEN: Sunday December 6th 5.30pm at Woodstock Methodist church. The December SOS film is "The Painted Veil", based on the classic novel by W. Somerset Maugham. This film is an epic and captivating love story set in the 1920s. It brings up issues of human weakness and forgiveness, marriage and self giving, risky/redemptive journeys and handling difference. We first watch the film, then share home made soup, cheese and bread and then lots to discuss! So come, taste and see!
----------
TONIGHT: There will be a Churches Together in Woodstock and Bladon evening service of Advent Carols at 6pm at St Mary Magdalene's Church tonight. This will be a good start to Advent and we do hope you will be able to come.

Carol Singing for Cancer Research. December 5th.
Each year Aileen Rogers and Charles Mould organise carol singing in the Westgate Shopping Centre to raise money for Cancer Research. This year it will be on December 5th. They usually manage about £1500. They’re there from about 10.30 am to 3.00 pm. If you’d like to sing with them for any part of that period, even if only for half an hour, you’ll be very welcome. Quality of voice is less important than enthusiasm. Just turn up. More details from Charles and Aileen on 810035 or 810431
